What to expect
Our therapeutic approach is person-centered and consists of individualized and highly effective programs. All instruction is based on scientifically validated strategies and utilizes best practices in the field. We place a premium on collaboration with family members, other professionals and the community to create a well-rounded and exhaustive treatment plan. Each plan is customized to the individual by using the process outlined below.
Bluebird's treatment process includes:
Initial Assessment
This includes a parent interview, observations, standardized assessment (ABLLS, AFLS, etc.) and treatment plan report.
Records Review
The BCBA will review diagnostic evaluations and reports from previous providers and related professionals, and IEP from school if applicable.
Behavior Intervention Plans
A BIP will be developed and implemented if challenging behavior is a concern. This includes a written plan, training, and support with implementation.
Program Planning And Treatment
A BCBA will design a custom program and sessions are held with a BCBA or RBT in the home or community. All programs are directly supervised each week by the BCBA.
Family Collaboration
Parents and caregivers are active participants and are a part of each session. We also incorporate siblings into sessions and goals when appropriate.
Generalization Training
Skills are taught methodically to ensure success in a variety of settings and scenarios. Our goals are considered mastered when they're met across several people, environments and conditions.
Data Collection
Performance is monitored during each session and programs are modified as needed.
Goal Setting
The assessment and family input are used to create measurable, meaningful objectives to target.
Progress Reviews
Re-assessment takes place every six months and goals are added and revised as necessary.
Insurance
Bluebird is in-network with BCBS and Aetna. We accept other commercial carriers if out-of-network benefits are available.
