What to expect

Our therapeutic approach is person-centered and consists of individualized and highly effective programs. All instruction is based on scientifically validated strategies and utilizes best practices in the field. We place a premium on collaboration with family members, other professionals and the community to create a well-rounded and exhaustive treatment plan. Each plan is customized to the individual by using the process outlined below.

Bluebird's treatment process includes:

Initial assessment

This includes a parent interview, observations, FBA, standardized assessments (VB-MAPP, ABLLS, ESDM, etc.) and report.

Records review

he BCBA will review diagnostic evaluations, reports from previous providers and related professionals, and IEP/BIP from school if applicable.

Goal setting

The assessment and family input are used to create measurable objectives to target.

Program planning and treatment

A BCBA will design a custom program and sessions are held with a BCBA or behavior technician in the home or community.

Data collection

Performance is monitored daily and programs are modified as needed.

Behavior Intervention Plans

A BIP will be developed and implemented if challenging behavior is a concern. This includes a written plan, training, and support with implementation.

Family collaboration and involvement

Parents and caregivers are active participants and are a part of each session.

Generalization training

Skills are taught in several environments to ensure success in a variety of settings.

Progress reviews

Re-assessment takes place every six months and objectives are revised as necessary.
